The Ice Cream Oni Tape is a physical, artist-signed 6-track experimental Afrobeats EP from Rebel G Society, presented with the raw character of nostalgic bootleg CDs, underground mixtapes, and hand-made independent releases.
Every physical copy is individually signed and features original hand-drawn elements directly on the disc by Daryl Boothe (Rebel G Society). Each CD contains its own markings, illustrations, and artistic variations, making every copy a unique collectible rather than a mass-produced piece of merchandise.
Musically, The Ice Cream Oni Tape pushes beyond traditional songwriting into its own sonic universe. Written, produced, and performed by Daryl Boothe, the project explores melody as a language, combining expressive vocal textures, invented phonetics, hypnotic rhythms, futuristic percussion, deep basslines, lush synths, and infectious Afrobeats grooves.
Rather than depending entirely on conventional lyrics, the project experiments with a unique musical dialect where melody, rhythm, vocal tone, and emotion become part of the communication. The result is playful, soulful, futuristic, and intentionally unconventional.
As a fully independent release, the physical edition represents the DIY philosophy behind Rebel G Society: music, artwork, ownership, and experimentation brought together into one collectible object.
